The task of designing the hotel building with all the details and the furnishing of the building was Arne Jacobsen's great opportunity to put his theories of the integration of design and architecture into practice. 1958 was the Swan™A technological innovation: no straight lines-only curves.
  • A plastic shell on a rotating star base made of aluminum, padded with a layer of cold foam and covered with fabric or leather. These two original designer chairs come from Jacobsen's own garage in Klampenborg, north of Copenhagen, and have been produced by Fritz Hansen ever since.
